Participants of any age are welcome to take the Duolingo English Test.
Anyone who needs to demonstrate their command of the English language may take the exam.
Candidates who are less than 13 years old are required to get permission from their parents before taking the test.

Academic Requirements
The official Duolingo website does not include any academic prerequisites as a prerequisite for taking the exam.

No. Of Attempts
There are no limits on the number of times a candidate may take the exam; however, a candidate can only buy three tests in a 30-day period. You will have to wait for the exam results to be returned before proceeding to the next test. The timer will begin when you buy your first test kit.

Exam Pattern
When you start the exam, you’ll be directed through three sections:
Introduction: 5 minutes
Adaptive test (graded): 45 minutes
Writing and speaking sample (ungraded): 10 minutes
Section 1: Introduction and onboarding will take no more than five minutes. (5 Minutes)
